AhlulBayt News Agency: The Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails entered on Saturday day 19 of their disobedience steps, which they staged in protest at the arbitrary punitive measures that were taken against them recently at the behest of far-right security minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
As part of their escalating protest program, the prisoners decided today to wear the brown prison uniform from the morning until four o’clock in the afternoon, according to Asra Media Office.
Following the Friday prayer yesterday, the detainees rallied in the prison yards while wearing the brown uniform.
Recently, the prisoners launched a number of disobedience steps after Ben Gvir started to give orders that deprived them of their rights, including the closure of bakeries inside the prisons and limiting the shower time for each inmate to four minutes. In addition, the prisoners are protesting against the transfer of hundreds of their mates to other prisons.
A few days ago, Ben Gvir issued new orders that would prevent many families from visiting their relatives in Negev jail with no justification and deprive the prisoners of obtaining clothes from their visitors.
